BATON ROUGE, La. – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana has promoted Paul Gray to vice president, Medicare Advantage Operations and Plan Performance, effective Aug. 16.
In his vice president role, Gray will lead all activities and functions in Blue Cross’ Medicare Advantage Operations and Plan Performance division with the goal to execute best-in-class Medicare Advantage (MA) service delivery. He will ensure his division responds to the dynamic MA market and regulatory landscape market by anticipating and implementing changes to ensure operational compliance and market leadership.
Gray joined Blue Cross in 2005 as an audit consultant and was quickly promoted to senior audit consultant. Since then he has held roles of increasing responsibility at Blue Cross, rising from manager to director of Operational Audit, then adding audit consulting services and plan performance duties to that role. Before coming to Blue Cross, Gray was manager of Audit & Consulting Services at Chan Healthcare Auditors in Lexington, Kentucky.
Gray has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Louisiana State University and a Master of Business Administration degree, also from LSU. He holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and is a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Healthcare Consultant and Professional, Academy of Healthcare Management. He is also certified in Risk Management Assurance and Risk and Information Systems Control.
