BATON ROUGE – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana is recognized on DiversityInc’s 2023 Top Regional Companies List. The health plan is ranked 30th among companies that demonstrate workplace fairness, equity and inclusion in their business practices.
“As we continue to build a culture of belonging, we are thrilled to be recognized by DiversityInc and included on their top Regional Companies list,” said Rod Teamer, director of Diversity Programs and Business Development. “Being included on this list confirms that our Diversity Equity and Inclusion strategy stacks up well in comparison to other companies and demonstrates our commitment to these principles. In addition to the recognition, we will also receive a report card that will enable us to determine where our weak points are and subsequently, improve our strategy moving forward.”
DiversityInc’s list is based on survey submissions from employers with at least 750 employees in the United States. Companies are evaluated within the context of their industries on verified policies, practices and procedures.
"Since 2001, the DiversityInc Top 50 survey has become the external validator for large U.S. employers committed to promoting fairness," said Carolynn Johnson, CEO of DiversityInc. "These rankings represent evidence-based, superior human capital outcomes achieved only by data transparency and an unwavering commitment to workplace fairness for everyone."
