June 4, 2019

NEW ORLEANS – Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its newest office location, in Orleans Tower (1340 Poydras St. Suite 100) on Tuesday, June 4.

Blue Cross was founded in New Orleans 85 years ago, and the insurer is reinforcing its commitment to those roots with the opening of its newest office location in New Orleans’ Central Business District.

“Our new location puts us right in the heart of the city and will allow us to expand our connection to the city and business community here,” said Blue Cross President and CEO Dr. I. Steven Udvarhelyi.

While Blue Cross has a regional office on Causeway Boulevard in Metairie, adding a second location in the New Orleans market will allow Blue Cross to be even closer and more connected to key community and business partners.

At the ribbon cutting, Udvarhelyi welcomed guests and shared the company’s commitment to the New Orleans business community. Representatives of local chambers of commerce spoke to welcome Blue Cross to the Central Business District, and past Angel Award honorees from the New Orleans area were present.
