We must remember Mr. Floyd and the change his death has spurred in the U.S. consciousness. We can only begin to heal as a nation if we act together to address systemic racism and injustice. We are committed to doing the hard work of moving forward where we can make a real impact. As part of our Pledge to Make Meaningful Change, Blue Cross Blue Shield companies just launched a National Health Equity Strategy. Our intent is to confront the nation’s crisis in racial heath disparities and reimagine a more equitable health care system, especially for people of color. Starting here and starting now, we can begin to put an end to the racial disparities in healthcare.
