(Baton Rouge, LA) — Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana (Louisiana Blue) has released its annual Community Partnerships Report, detailing the collective impact of its employees, Foundation, and nonprofit partners in communities across the state.

Among the past year’s highlights:

45,000+ volunteer hours by the company’s 3,000 employees, contributing to community projects and providing hands-on and pro bono assistance to Louisiana nonprofits.

$3.6 million in donations and sponsorships from Louisiana Blue and its employees, helping hundreds of nonprofits deliver more than 14.5 million services (health screenings, checkups, meals, etc.) to Louisianians.

27 grants totaling more than $3 million awarded by the Louisiana Blue Foundation to support programs focused on improving Louisiana’s health outcomes.

“Each year, I’m inspired by the way our employees show up for Louisiana, using their time, talents and compassion to make a genuine difference in our communities,” said Michael Tipton, president of the Louisiana Blue Foundation and head of the company’s Community Relations department.

“I’m also proud of our nonprofit partners, who continue to drive real, measurable change by closing health gaps and helping build a healthier future for Louisiana. Their efforts are creating lasting change, and we’re honored to be a partner in that work,” he added.
